The Aliner was getting the camping itch, so the weekend of October 4th we took a trip to Lake Blue Ridge with our friends Cathy and Kelly. After a quick stop at Mercier's Apple Orchard (for some fried apple pies, cider, and doughnuts) we arrived at the campground to set up camp. Much to our surprise, we were able to secure a lakefront spot! An afternoon of canoeing, kayaking, and fishing was just what we needed to relax us after a long first few months of school! The weather was beautiful (my bathing suit was able to make one last appearance before being stored for the winter) and the mountain views were amazing!

It was Skip's first camping trip and we think he had fun. Gus enjoyed a swim and both dogs loved sitting around the campfire and scarfing down camping treats (hotdogs, doughnuts, graham crackers, and chips).

Fall is so beautiful here in Georgia! We had such a wonderful weekend! Next up: Nick's Washington D.C. Marathon the weekend of October 25th. Check back for updates!
Love,
Nick & AJ

Sorry I missed your call this afternoon. I was picking up Ava. I'll try calling on my way home again tomorrow, around 4pm. I'm not sure if you are tutoring or not. You have skip now? Talk to you later!

Neat trip and nice story. Hey, I saw that the world's best BBQ restaurant is located in Clinton, GA. That's on the itinerary on the next trip.
