3 More Days in Tuscany

I am not a real sci-fi fan, but all of those movies about computers coming to life and taking over the world are starting to become more believable. We have been driving around Tuscany the last 3 days, following our GPS (Francesca). Unfortunately, she has started giving us the wrong directions on purpose. She has even began using different tones in her voice, and I think she laughed at me one day and called me a retard the next. She will tell me to "take the first right at the round about", and then immediately follow with "when possible make a legal U-turn". In the last three days I have made about 40 illegal u-turns, went down several one way streets in the wrong direction, and caused several Italian drivers to laugh or honk the horn. When you do something really stupid over here they just laugh at you or clap. In the states all of these would have resulted in 20 middle fingers, 15 F-Us, and probably a few road side brawls.

Even with her horrible directions we have been able to visit Pisa, Volterra, Montalchino, the BANFI winery, Pienza, Asciano and the drive back to Siena, the entire Chianti region, San Gimignano, and of course Siena. We have eaten two dinners at our Agriturismo which are hands down two of the best dinners I have ever had. We made friends with a couple from California, Bill and Karen, who also stayed at our Agriturismo.

This morning we are getting ready to drive into Florence to drop of the car and that freaking GPS and then we will take the train from Florence to Venice. We are having a great time and cannot (still cannot find that stinkin apostrophe) wait to show off our pictures.
